To celebrate Rosh Chodesh Adar Bet, on Friday, March 4, the High School held a collective davening in the Beit Midrash. During Hallel, the students gathered into semi-circles with their respective genders to sing together and add to the festivity. After davening, students socialized in the student commons while enjoying hamentaschen and orange juice provided by the PTSA. Starting by singing Mi Shenichnas Adar, students then began Shabbos Dancing. Head of School Dr. Sim Pearl brought out his accordion to accompany the singing, and Shabbos Dancing Director Senior Micah Feit Mann said it made the “Purim-infused Shabbos Dancing… fresh and funky.” After lots of lively singing and dancing, students ended the Rosh Chodesh festivities and went to their first period classes. These morning events kicked off Adar Bet with a small taste of the fun that the rest of the month would bring.
